St Stephens Centre

Welcome

The St. Stephens Centre is an impressive Georgian building designed by the architect William Henry Playfair and situated at the branch of Howe St and St. Stephen Street.

Formerly St. Stephens Parish Church, the building became the St. Stephens Centre following a union with St. Bernards Church, Stockbridge in 1992 and the formation of Stockbridge Parish Church.

Occasionally used for worship the centre provides space/facilities for a number of  congregational, community, educational and charitable groups, events and functions

The Centre is used for musical and dramatic performances and is a venue for the Edinburgh International and Fringe festivals.  In addition the building itself has been used as a location for both international and national television and film.
